Me 5 Years Ago and Me Now

What kind of memories do you all have? What are those memories about? Are they about your family or maybe your student days?
I have an unforgettable memory from 5 years ago. Since childhood, I have always been an active and independent girl. I studied hard in junior high school. The days were tough and required a lot of effort from me. On graduation day, I did everything I could to get into my favorite school. I was nervous on the day of the exam, but I felt great when it was over. However, God didn’t grant me good results. On the day the results were announced, I was shocked by the bad outcome and felt very disappointed.
I felt as if I had lost my way. I was embarrassed to meet friends, teachers, and family. At that time, I didn’t want to do anything or think about anything. I cried a lot. I thought about giving up all my dreams. My family comforted me and said they wanted me to go back to school. I always thought I had to try various things. I dreamed of soaring higher. I wanted to go far to learn and experience. I studied hard every day and then decided to keep striving. Finally, I reached a brighter corner of the future.
Now, I have come to Japan as an international student and am always working hard. I have been living in Japan for a year and a half, studying while working. I also passed the entrance exam to a vocational school. In the future, I want to work hard to obtain permanent residency and open a restaurant in Japan. I don’t have family in Japan, but thanks to my teachers, I have learned and grown a lot. I will continue to challenge myself and strive to realize my dreams. If you all keep working hard, surely there will be opportunities. Let’s pursue our future dreams and never give up.
