A Letter to the Future
To myself as a university student in Japan,
Are you studying properly? Are you actively engaging in your student life? I still vividly remember how I felt when I received the acceptance letter and enrollment documents from the university. I was so happy, I read each word of the acceptance letter out loud and slowly, with tears of joy. Immediately after, I called my parents.
I always write in my diary before going to bed. My diary is like a best friend to me, always by my side. It contains memories and my feelings at the time. Writing in my diary took a long time on the day I got accepted into university. It was a special day, and I wanted to record it properly.
When I become a university student next April, I think the most important thing is to study properly. Also, since I want to interact with as many people as possible, please participate in volunteer activities and university clubs whenever you have time. I believe you’ll gain interesting experiences. Please become the person you want to be, do what you desire, and enjoy your university life.
To myself as a company employee,
There might be a lot of stress and worries in your working life, but please work hard. If you do, you’ll surely gain new experiences. Save money and work earnestly to realize your hopes.
As a child, one of my dreams was to travel to France with my family. My parents loved France when they were young and always said they wanted to visit. To fulfill my parents’ dream, I want to travel to France with my family someday.
And my biggest dream is to own a bookstore. To make this dream come true, please work hard.
I don’t know what the future holds, but it doesn’t matter whether you succeed or fail as long as you love your job. Just continue to work hard in your own way. Never give up and keep chasing your dreams.
To everyone,
I encourage you all to write down your goals and send them to your future selves. If you work hard, I believe you can get closer to your dreams.
If you strongly wish for it, you will surely be able to realize your dreams.
Believe in my words.
