Difficulties in Japan
Before coming to Japan, I was studying at university. My friends said that “Japan is very convenient and clean,” so I went to Japan. Before studying abroad, my family told me to “do your best.”
For the first three months after arriving in Japan, it was difficult. I often thought of my family. Also, there were not many people I could talk to, and I understood only a little Japanese, so life was hard and sad.
At school, there are Vietnamese people and people from other countries, but I only spoke Vietnamese. I wanted to talk more with foreign friends, but it was difficult.
After about a year, I have become accustomed to life in Japan. Now that I can speak Japanese with others, I have made more friends. Because of this, I always look forward to going to school, and it’s fun.
Since coming to Japan, I think I have met a lot of people. One person I can remember now is Mr. Nam.
I met Mr. Nam at my part-time job. When I first started working, I didn’t understand anything and had trouble. At that time, Mr. Nam often taught me about the job. His way of talking was interesting, and we often laughed together when we made eye contact.
Although we worked together for four months, we never hung out because our free time didn’t match.
Next month, someone else will take over Mr. Nam’s job. Then, we will hang out together. I often say that meeting Mr. Nam will be a good memory.
