This letter is not so much to ask you something but to let you know about my current situation. I’m glad you’re doing well. Life in Japan must be tough, but I believe you can overcome any challenge. The struggles and failures you experienced have shaped who I am today. From your part-time job delivering newspapers, I learned to manage my time. So please, be brave in everything you do. Even if you fail, don’t give up. I know better than anyone that you’re not a slacker.

Now, let me tell you about my current life. As I mentioned, I’m married. Fortunately, my wife has embraced the religion I believe in. Initially, she was quite confused by the unfamiliar culture and customs, but over time, she has adapted to life in Bali. She even speaks Balinese better than me, which is a bit embarrassing for me as a Balinese.

My parents have aged but are very happy and healthy. They’re delighted that I married a Japanese person and now have grandchildren. My father plays with my 5-year-old son every day and helps with kindergarten drop-offs and pick-ups. In the evenings, they often go to the nearby park. I think my parents are satisfied.

By the way, we’ve achieved our goal. Now, I run my own store and have hired several people. This is all thanks to your hard work. As per your advice, I get along well with the neighbors.
