Graduate Essay

To My Future Self

Good morning. How are you doing? How old are you now? I am you at the age of 25. I have written this letter just to be safe, as I believe that new things appear and old things disappear with the passage of time. I’ll start with what’s important. How is your health? When I was young, I didn’t sleep much because of studying and part-time jobs, and sometimes I skipped meals. Such a lifestyle is not good for your body, right? Have you experienced deteriorating eyesight or difficulty walking as you’ve grown older? It’s not anyone’s fault. I hope you’ve stopped aging in a way that makes you sick because of your own actions. Please cooperate to stay healthy for a long time. What kind of person have you become? I hope you are still a kind person who enjoys helping others. You might have become a noisy or strict grandma, but please also listen to the opinions of younger people. Are you still pursuing your studies? Have your dreams come true? I am about to graduate from Japanese language school, and I have also decided on a university. It’s tough, but I’ll do my best for the me in ten or twenty years. Do what you want to do, take on new challenges, and be careful not to be trapped by old ideas. Everyone only has one life. Let’s have various experiences and lead a fulfilling life. Both joy and sadness are precious experiences. Let’s live strong. From 25-year-old Toui, please go to sleep early so that your dreams come true.
