My Dream

Spring has ended, summer has passed, and gradually autumn is here. It has been a year and a half since I came to Japan. Japan is getting colder now, and the leaves are changing color to autumn hues. Since coming to Japan, I have had various experiences, both enjoyable and challenging.

While working as a newspaper delivery person, I am studying Japanese. I want to become a Japanese teacher. I want to study diligently, become better at Japanese, and speak it like a native Japanese person. In my home country, there are few Japanese people, so I didn’t have many opportunities to speak Japanese. When I first came to Japan, I could only say “yes” and “no.”

Thanks to the dedicated teachers at the Kobe Sumiyoshi Japanese Language School, I have gradually become able to speak Japanese. In my class, there are friendly teachers and students, so school is a lot of fun. No matter how tough work may be, going to school makes it enjoyable.

Living on my own in a foreign country is a first for me. I have to take care of everything myself in Japan. In my home country, my mother used to cook, do laundry, and clean, but now I have to do it all myself. Handling everything on my own has taught me how to solve various problems.

Living in Japan, I’ve noticed the differences between my country and Japan. Japanese people are kind and make an effort not to inconvenience others. Myanmar people are also kind like the Japanese, but they don’t always prioritize not inconveniencing others.

Furthermore, in Japan, I think people have a high awareness of keeping the environment clean and living safely. One of the best qualities of the Japanese people is their punctuality. That’s why Japan is known as a country that may be small but is clean, safe, and has a high level of technological expertise.

When I first came to Japan, I was very worried about being away from my home country. However, I’ve gradually adapted to life in Japan and now enjoy it. I also enjoy studying Japanese.

I have six more months until graduation. After graduating, I will attend the Tokyo Business Japanese Language School to continue studying Japanese. When I become proficient in Japanese, I plan to become a Japanese teacher in Myanmar. When I become a Japanese teacher, I intend to teach not only the Japanese language but also Japanese customs and rules. This is my dream.
