Graduate Essay

To Everyone in the N1 Class

When I came to Japan in April this year and joined this school, I immediately entered the N2 class. As a newcomer to Japan, I was worried about studying in a new class and getting along with new classmates. When I first entered the class, I was so nervous that I couldn’t even properly introduce myself in front of the teacher and all the classmates, but everyone welcomed me with kind smiles.
In the class, there were only Vietnamese and Chinese students. The classmates were friendly and easy to talk to, so gradually my anxiety disappeared. Among the Vietnamese, there were friends doing the same job as me, and they shared various experiences with me. Everyone came from different regions, so the topics of conversation varied. For example, a friend who loves and is good at cooking taught me various recipes and made a lot of delicious food. A fellow scholarship student approached me from the beginning and gave me lots of useful advice about work. The friend sitting next to me talked about everyday life in an interesting way. The Chinese students from other countries were also very friendly, and despite language and cultural differences, we all spoke in Japanese and understood each other’s feelings well.
Although everyone is very busy with exams and work, they attend school properly and enjoy the classes every day. Thanks to the teachers and classmates, there are hardly any boring moments in my life as an international student. Not only studying, but we also had parties from time to time, which became good memories.
In March next year, everyone is scheduled to graduate. Only me and the new students who joined in October will remain in this class. Everyone has chosen different paths and will go to different places, so I think the chances to meet will gradually decrease. I think you will make many new friends in the future, but I hope you will remember this class. We studied together and created many wonderful memories. When I remember the time spent with everyone, I naturally smile and feel happy and joyful. I wanted to properly convey my gratitude to everyone, so I wrote this essay.
Congratulations on your graduation.
Please don’t forget about me.
