My Memorable Place
In Vietnamese schools, students and teachers go on excursions together. I went on such a trip when I was in my third year of high school.
Our school spent a day visiting the barracks of a military unit. It took about an hour by car from the school to the site. It was my first time entering the barracks of a unit, so I was really looking forward to it. Before entering the barracks, we were instructed by our teachers to walk quietly, behave politely, and speak seriously.
That day, we got to visit the rooms where the soldiers live, see the green vegetable gardens and fields for the soldiers, and experience eating the same meals that the soldiers eat daily.
At the end of the trip, we greeted the soldiers and returned home. I remember that day’s trip very clearly and fondly. I would like to visit it again.
This military unit’s barracks is my memorable place. I wonder how it is now.
