Many people say, ‘I’m too busy to find time to exercise.’ These people often say, ‘I don’t have time because of overtime work.’ or ‘I’m too tired due to work stress.’ These are just excuses. In Vietnam, there is a saying, ‘If you want something, you’ll find a way. If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.’ Since health is the most important thing, we should find a way to exercise.
I like yoga. I’ve been practicing it for about four years. Initially, I started yoga for dieting. After about a year of doing yoga, my body balance improved, and my body became easier to move. I think this is because I learned how to use my body and control my breathing through yoga. Muscular strength is useful for maintaining body balance. Now, by doing yoga, I can properly observe my physical condition. I can notice my body usage habits and use my body more effectively.
After finishing yoga, I sometimes feel ‘refreshed and good.’ This is not a random phenomenon, but due to the effect of β-endorphins, which elevate mood and make you feel happy.
Also, for health, it is important to take in nutrition. However, it’s not just about eating nutritious foods; you need to know whether those foods are suitable for your body. For example, beef is a very nutritious food, but for someone who is allergic to beef, it is not a good food choice. Instead, it is important to be aware of what your body needs and your current mental state, and to eat accordingly. The food we consume daily has a significant impact on our mind and body. My words might worry those who are not in good physical condition. But don’t worry. Why not start exercising from today?
