My Treasure

Books are a product of modern social civilization. There are various kinds of books in the world, each offering its own knowledge, but the important thing is to choose the book that suits oneself.
I have been reading books every day since high school. I have read various books, but one I particularly want to introduce is ‘The Alchemist – The Boy Who Traveled for His Dream’ by Paulo Coelho. Reading this book changed my perspective and way of thinking.
The protagonist is a young shepherd named Santiago. Santiago repeatedly dreams of finding treasure in the pyramids and decides to actually travel to Egypt. His journey to Egypt is full of difficulties, but with the advice of an alchemist, he manages to reach Egypt and eventually finds the treasure. Along the way, he meets an important woman and Santiago grows significantly.
This book changed me, who could only think in a childish way. Santiago’s perseverance in not giving up on his dreams despite failures taught me the importance of holding strong will. Now, I am in Japan. Like Santiago, I want to travel in search of my dreams and find my important treasure.
