My Treasure
My treasure is the house where I live with my family. The reason is, my home is the warmest place in the world.
After graduating high school, I started living alone in another town to study at university. It was then I realized that the house where I lived with my family was my treasure. At that time, I couldn’t cook for myself, and there was no one to help me when I was sick. Living alone and feeling lonely was very hard. In those moments, I always wished I was back at home, enjoying the meals my mother made, and having my family around to help me when I was sick.
I am still living alone in Japan. I find living in Japan more challenging than living alone in Myanmar. When I am physically and emotionally exhausted, I long to return to my warm home in Myanmar. However, Myanmar is far from Japan, and it’s not easy to return.
If possible, I would always like to live in the house with my family, but I must strive for my future and to support my parents’ lives.
One cannot always be where they wish to be. But for me, no matter how far away or where I am, the house where I live with my family will always be my treasure.
