My Childhood
I was born 21 years ago. My parents got married early. They were not rich when they married, but they were very happy just to have me. Every day, they worked hard and took care of the children. As an elementary school student, I lived at my grandmother’s house because my parents were busy. Everyone in my grandmother’s neighborhood was very close, so I spent every day chatting and playing. A kind lady in the neighborhood was skilled at crafts. She knitted a scarf for me and taught me how to plant flowers. I was very happy to learn so many good things. My grandmother’s cooking was delicious. It was a taste filled with love, unforgettable. My favorite dish was her stewed fish. It was rich in flavor and made me eat a lot of rice. I love fruits, so my grandfather planted fruit trees for me. Every morning, I would water the trees with him. After watering the trees, I did exercises, ate breakfast, and went to school. I lived a fulfilled life every day. When I became a junior high school student, I started living with my parents. They were busy with work every day, so I had to do household chores. I did cleaning, laundry, and cooking every day. It was a bit lonely because I couldn’t go out to play. As a child, I didn’t like studying and spent most of my time playing. My special skill is making things. In my free time, I made bougainvillea, wind chimes, and carved names on pencils. Sometimes, I made sweets with my friends in the neighborhood. Now I am an adult, but I always remember my childhood. I want to go back to being a child. Childhood is an innocent time when you don’t have to worry about anything, a lucky period.
