To My Family
Dad, Mom, I am writing this letter now. How is everyone in the family? I am fine, so please don’t worry. Dad and Mom, please take care of your health too. Life in Japan has its challenges, but I am managing well. It has been a year since I came to Japan. There have been some difficulties. Living in a foreign country, not my own, is hard. I have to strive on my own, but I am working hard for the future. Sometimes, living alone in Japan, I think of my family.
I want to tell you about the differences between Japan and Myanmar. In Japan, everyone works even when they are old, which is not common in Myanmar. Japanese people are kind and well-mannered. The towns are beautifully maintained, and it is safe. The standard of living is high. While this is somewhat similar to Myanmar, Japan is better in many ways.
I now understand the value of parents more than ever. In Japan, when I face tough times at work or encounter difficulties, I often think of my home country and family.
Dad and Mom, thank you so much for raising me.
From Kaung
