To Mom
Mom, how are you? I think of you every day. Japanese food is not very delicious, so I remember the dishes you make. Life in Japan is very tough right now, but I am strong, so please don’t worry about me.
School studies are interesting. The teachers are all kind. I have friends from various countries at school. Studying with them is fun. They have taught me about different cultures from their countries. It’s very interesting. I am also working hard. I have to wake up at 5 AM for work. The company is strict.
It is getting cold in Japan now. Sometimes I get a fever and my body aches. At such times, I think of you. Even with a fever, I take medicine and cook food by myself. It’s very lonely. In Myanmar, you were there to take care of me. When I had a fever, you used to sleep beside me. Now that you are far away, tears come to my eyes when I get a fever.
Do you think of me too, Mom? I think you are shedding tears while reading this letter. Mom, please take care of yourself. I am working hard in Japan now. When I return to our country, I want to live together with you again. So, Mom, I love you.
