The person I want to meet is my father. I haven’t seen him at all in the past two years. I absolutely can’t meet him because he passed away two years ago. That day happened to be the day of my JLPT exam in my home country.

There were times when I didn’t get along well with my father. I always opposed his opinions. For example, even when he asked me to come along and learn how to shop, I wouldn’t go. I refused to take care of the vegetables in the garden when he asked. At that time, my father would get angry, but he quickly pretended to forget about it. After entering university, I moved out and lived in a dormitory. We only saw each other two or three times a year. So, I didn’t have many memories of him. However, after his passing, I started thinking about him every day. Whenever I start something, I inevitably think about my father and how he would have done it. I remember him even more since studying abroad.

There are only my mother and younger sister in my home country, so I feel very lonely. Being the eldest son, I worry about what to do if there are family problems. Thinking about my father’s stories gives me strength. In difficult times, I remember my father’s stories.

Now, every day, I pray that my father is in heaven. If I could meet him, I would apologize for my mistakes. When I pass away, I also want to live in heaven with my father. That’s why I pray diligently every day.
