“Family” – Something Precious
For each of you, what is precious? If you were asked this question, there would be various opinions. For me, my family is what’s precious. The moments spent with my family are my treasures.
There was a time when I thought money was the most important thing. I used to believe that if I became rich, I could have anything I wanted. Now I feel like that was a childish way of thinking.
Certainly, with money, one can lead a luxurious life. However, money cannot buy people’s hearts, and money alone cannot bring happiness and joy. In comparison, family always provides the best things.
Parents, even if they struggle every day, completely forget about their hardships as long as their children’s lives are happy. Even when they are ill, they work hard for the sake of their children’s future. My parents are not just parents; they are also friends in my life. When I felt down, my parents were always by my side, encouraging and comforting me. When we are happy, we share wonderful moments together. We trust each other completely and have no fear of sharing our secrets. It is natural for parents to love their children, but I am the happiest child in the world among them. Every time I talk about my family, my happiness multiplies two or three times.
This year, I will turn 22 years old. In other words, it means my parents have been struggling for 22 years. Both of my parents’ hair is turning white. Now, my parents don’t have much time left, so I want to do something to show my gratitude while I can. I can never forget my family for even a moment. Everything about my family is irreplaceable to me.
Now, I am facing various difficulties, getting hurt, making mistakes, crying, and worrying, while being away from my parents. During such times, it’s still my family that encourages me with words like, “”Be brave! Do your best!”” If it weren’t for the support of my family, I wouldn’t exist as I am today. I have been blessed with my family’s love all along, and I truly feel fortunate.
Family is my reason for living and my driving force. I want to strive to bring happiness to others just as I have received countless blessings from my family. Family is everything to me. I love my family. Forever.
