The Meaning of Letters
A letter is a document intended to convey information to a specific recipient. In the past, it was referred to as news or a message.
In today’s information-rich era, when we see cute clothes, beautiful scenery, or something nice, we can take a photo and immediately share it with friends via email or social media using the internet. It’s very convenient.
However, in the modern era, as information becomes easier to convey, fewer people are writing letters, which is quite regrettable.
In the past, before smartphones and various electronic devices, the only way to communicate with distant relatives or friends was through letters. Writing letters is cumbersome, but by writing about current affairs, the season, the weather, one’s feelings, the recent situation of the recipient, and one’s worries, and asking for their opinion, it becomes easier to convey one’s feelings than through email.
Letters are items that carry happiness. In today’s internet society, where email is commonly used, nothing compares to handwritten letters for conveying feelings. Not only do they convey sincerity and leave a good impression, but they also draw treasures into one’s life, such as people and work.
To write such letters, the most important thing is to enjoy writing them. Without overthinking, cherish your feelings, carefully craft your words, and write letters to your loved ones. It’s also fun to imagine the kind of response you will receive.
I want to continue valuing the culture of letter writing.
